oh man... i went to sit at one of classes... Boy, the instructors are TERRIBLE... there is this girl and guy (i am worried about giving out names). She was stuck on the game and could not explain it properly. Apparently, i was not the only one who sensed this; other students complained and now the girl might get kicked out by the POwerscore... i am signing up for TM after this man...
Did you guys have the same experience?

##### Studying for the LSAT / Logic Games help, con'd
« on: February 18, 2007, 08:01:37 PM »
thanks a bunch for helping me figure out what i typed in teh last post

now i am confused about Linear type of Logic Games and conditional statements

for instance:

if A is third, then B is fifth.

so for A to be third, B must be fifth, right?
and if B is fifth, is it possible that A cannot be third?
And if A is not third, is it possible that B can be fifth?

i am just deducing from the info provided in the Bible on necessary and sufficient conditions in Linear games... i am just confused if such aforementioned scenarios ( if B is fifth, is it possible that A cannot be third?) can exist in Linear one-to-one relationship

if you didn't get what i wrote, i will explain myself clearer... i apologize for that..

##### Studying for the LSAT / help please

i need someone to write out these rules for me for Logic Games; i wanna get the distinction...

- A is written on the day before B
- A is before B
- A is written two days before B

Bible says that A_B ... there is only one day separating A and B... can someone explain to me why that is like that?

##### Studying for the LSAT / why ? :/
« on: February 03, 2007, 05:48:42 PM »
Reading over NOva's Master the LSAT... i don't know if this book uses real LSAT questions... but this question just angers me (well technically the credited response)

Scientific research at a certain university was supported in part by an annual grant from a major foundation. WHen the University's physics department embarked on weapons-related research, the foundation, which has a purely humanitarian mission, threatened to cancel its grant. The university then promised that none of the foundation's money would be used for the weapons research, whereupon the foundation withdrew its threat, concluding that the weapons rsearch would not benefit from the foundation's grant.

Which one of the following describes a flaw in the reasoning underlying the foundation's conclusion?

A) it overlooks the possibility that the availability of the foundation's money for humanitarian uses will allow the university to redirect other funds from humanitarian uses to weapons research.

how??
