If I were in your shoes, I'd probably blow the whistle. There are supposed to be ethical standards, I'd like to think that they still exist (though XOXO sometimes makes me wonder...)

Law School Admissions / Re: Importance of Undergrad School

As stated before the biggest impact your undergrad degree has is during the 1L job search. You don't have grades yet, so all prospective employers have is the UG school you went to. Me from a SUNY school won't stack up well against a girl from MIT. But, what are you going to do, get another UG degree?

Law School Admissions / Re: Waitlist theories

I was waitlisted at Cardozo which kind of surprised me. One of my LoR writers had a daughter-in-law that went there on a full ride with similar stats to mine, so I figured I would see if I could get something similar. Instead, I got my first waitlist. I don't know if it was a YP thing or if something in my application rubbed them the wrong way. For a couple seconds I wondered what would happen if I called and told them I'd attend if they offered a spot, but decided I didn't need to know that bad.

The only one that I know can't happen is to be an uncut Jew. That is the bond between God and the Hebrews and you have to have it done to become part of the faith. Without this Covenant between Yahweh and man, one cannot be a Jew.

I think I am goint to get a cat. Dogs are too much work, but cats just hang out and chase the little balls with bells inside of them. I had dogs growing up, but it would be too much work for me.

It is supposed to be 2 degrees here tonight. I am just slightly jealous of you Texas people.

quick example:

Dear School you want more money out of,

Thank you for the acceptance and the generous aid offer.  Although your school is my number one choice, I simply can't afford it with the current aid package offered.  Are there any additional scholarships or aid that I can be considered for?  I have recently received offers of $$$ from school X, $$ from school Y and $$ from school Z.  I would love to spend the next three years at your school but if the current aid package cannot be increased, I will be unable to attend your school.  Thanks.

Something similar to that.  Polish it up and make it sound nicer.

I wonder about doing this. The thing that I am afraid of is that if they don't want me bad enough to give me any (more) money, the school will get PO'd. I want to stay away from If->Then statements, because I don't like the contrapositive (or is it inverse? the LSAT was a long time ago.)
