Law School Applications / Transcript updates - helpful?
« on: December 22, 2006, 04:46:32 PM »
I hope this doesn't seem like a stupid question, but i just received my grades for this last semester (my last) of undergrad.  They are high and would raise my overall GPA slightly.  Would it be helpful or beneficial to send the updated transcripts to LSAC? To the schools independantly? Would LSAC send updates for the files at the schools to which i have applied?

I haven't been able to find an answer elsewhere.

I'm in at Temple too.  My letter said the offer included a $36,000 scholarship divided into 12k/yr as long as i maintain a place in the top 50%.

Congrats.

 :) In at Temple w/ $36,000 scholarship ($12k/yr, stay within top 50%)

I am excited to get such good news.  This makes an enticing offer, we'll see who chimes in next (hopefully).

Thanks for the thoughts.  My first choice in the PNW is UW, and i am open to going to a lot of places (as you may have noticed when you checked my numbers).  But i guess i was just dissapointed by my experience.   I am sure L&C is a great place and a wonderful environment.
Thanks again and good luck with everything.

Hello,

I was interested in Lewis and Clark, mostly for the location in Portland (which I love), but when i talked to an admissioions rep at the BYU Law Fair in October about the IP opportunities she told me straight up that i should look somewhere else, like Franklin Pierce.  Her words.  I am not interested in FP (my numbers area a bit above their criteria)  Do you get the impression that the IP program and local job outlook is that bad,  or  would i be more correct in assuming she hated Mormons (It was at BYU of all places).

I still love portland.

Thanks, i really am interested in hearing your take on the school.
