I received my acceptance to USD, as well as a call from DePaul with their acceptance and offering of $20k/year.
Things seem to be picking up speed.

It does not give you any edge, other than it makes applying dirt cheap. I used 10 of them.

Does anyone know if they award scholarships with their acceptance letters or at a later date? I have been accepted but without money (which would help my decision since i already have $ at Temple, which is also pretty cheap).
Thanks.

Internet issues like the ones surrounding Second Life's third party commercial traffic and digital ownership rights online seem fascinating to me.

in recent years IP lawyers have been a hot commodity, making the highest average salaries of all lawyers, but i have a friend who graduated a few years ago in IP at GW and he says the same thing about jobs.
My interest is in IP, but i hope to balance my education with business, commerce, and international issues. Who knows, i'm still a 0L.

Yes, you need a technical background to prosecute patents before the US Patent Office, but not to counsel, etc.

I think it makes the app look more personal, if nothing else. I began with my reasons for wanting to study law, and then I just added that "Santa Clara U looks like my ideal choice" or something to that effect. it took one sentance, and i did this for all my PSs as well. I got in EA.

I've thought about the same thing, and i think it is more important to live, study, and practice where you prefer, rather than worry about what fellow LSDers are thinking about your decision. I would rather live in Philly than NYC so i would probably choose Temple if this were my choice.
my .02 - take it for what you think it's worth

All of my complete notices (at least the few i got) came via email. Decision notices have all been status checkers so far, nothing via snail mail but actual decisions, christmas cards, and free ipod offers from Florida Coastal.
