Regardless of what laptop you get, here is my advice to you and everybody on this board. And really listen when I tell you this. Are you listening?

DON'T FORGET TO BACK UP EVERYTHING ON YOUR HARD DRIVE!!!

Do it every day if you can. At the absolute least, once per week. You have no idea how many sob stories I heard while in law school from people that forgot to back up their notes, outlines, draft final exams, moot court briefs, etc. Did you forget already?

BACK EVERYTHING UP ON A CONSTANT BASIS!

You will thank me.

um, yeah, i don't know about that ... i guess the risk is that if you don't have some strict regime then you'll suffer?

anyway, whatever is lightest, and toughest.

Law School Applications / Re: Graduating SUMMER 08 - Problem?

Nothing big.  Figure out how your undergrad handles the bureaucratic nonsense of graduation and exhaust all measures for departments to post your degree, have transcripts sent, etc., etc., etc., as soon as possible.  You may have a hold on registration until shortly before your first semester begins, but it probably won't cause any trouble.

"It depends."

Like, if the school prizes is all about marketing itself as diverse, taking care to actually do so, geographical underrepresentation may make a (very small) difference.

somewhere on here, i read that some locations offer the option of taking the test in the afternoon.  wow.  that would have been nice.

Rastlin dogs? Where's the problem?

Dogs are sentient, thoughtful and emotional animals, just like humans.  Assuming the allegations are accurate, he's a moral imbecile that deserves prosecution to the fullest extent.

People are saying "Sixty carcasses were found on his land.  This was a type of Auschwitz for poor defenseless animals.  Many dogs were drowned, thrown in acid, made to fight to death, and electrocuted..."

Excerpts from the AP story

The dogfighting operation was named "Bad Newz Kennels," according to the indictment, and the dogs were housed, trained and fought at a Surry County, Va., property owned by Vick.

The indictment alleges that the 27-year-old Vick and his co-defendants began a grisly
dogfighting operation in early 2001 in which dogs fought to the death -- or close. Losing
dogs were sometimes killed by electrocution, drowning, hanging or gunshots.

...About eight young dogs were put to death after they were found not ready to fight in
April 2007. They were killed "by hanging, drowning and/or slamming at least one dog's
body to the ground," according to the indictment.

...Authorities seized 66 dogs, including 55 pit bulls, and equipment commonly used in
dogfighting. About half the dogs were tethered to car axles with heavy chains that
allowed the dogs to get close to each other, but not to have contact -- an arrangement
typical for fighting dogs, according to the search warrant affidavit.

...Sometimes, dogs weren't fed to "make it more hungry for the other dog," it said.

What are the similarities/differences between cover letters and 1L summer cover letters?

Anybody who understands the enemy realizes there are only two outcomes.

One involves a genocide with people pushed into the sea.  The other involves people moved across a river.
Palestinians and Israelis deserve to have their human rights and national interests met.  Shamefully, the racism and smug arrogance motivating a thought process like this is liable to not only make the most "understanding" war criminals from terrible conflicts, including World War II Germany, blush, for, if believed by people with influence, it retards any significant progress towards peace.

While the intent of my reply is to identify the sheer cowardice of waitlsited, I do want to shed light on additional -- and far more desirable -- outcomes, as (s?)he suggests that genocide and forced relocation are all there is.

1:  Most serious policy makers have worked out how to establish two viable states, based on pre-1967 borders.  This will require immediate dismantling of settler infrastructure in the Occupied Territories, equivalent international aide, guaranteed civilian security and a right of return, and fulfillment of everyone's human rights, as codified in the International Declaration of Human Rights.

2:  Of course, there are multitudinous variations on how to achieve peace. Another well-analyzed pathway is for a unified, secular state to guarantee equal rights and opportunities to all of its citizens.

Eat sh*t and die, terrorist.
I hope this is a 'clever' rebuke of the Israeli/US approach.

Here's how this work: I'm going to have money to support my point of view.  OP will have lungs.  I will win.  OP will eat sh*t and die.
Your "point of view" reads to be a very well-reasoned way to ensure justice and peace for everyone involved ... You have already interned in the Knesset, then?
