LC, I withdrew today from PSU! I hope you'll get my spot. :)

I've never heard of anyone who regretted waiting a year, fwiw.

It sounds like you made the right decision.

WHOA...I just now got accepted to the Penn State full time program! This is the best WL cycle ever. :)

But I should still go to Pitt, right? It seems like I should, am I missing anything? I wouldn't mind living in Pitt, or moving somewhere else in PA or VA. I know PSU is ranked much lower, but I realize they are both regional schools to a large extent.

i guess that one point made a difference after all

 :D

Where should I go next fall? / Re: PSU vs. Pitt

Thanks for the advice, guys. John, I didn't tell PSU I got into Pitt, but that's an interesting theory.

Hopefully my luck rubs off on you, ButImAGilmore. This run of good luck might be making up for my bad LSAT luck (I took the test three times...but I digress). :D

I'll continue to think about my choice; thanks for making some good points. :)

Where should I go next fall? / PSU vs. Pitt

Hi everyone,

This has been an incredibly lucky WL cycle for me, my options are changing by the day. I just got accepted off of the WL into the FT class at Penn State Dickinson (previously, I had been accepted only pt).

I have also been accepted to Pitt, paying out-of-state tuition. I should go to Pitt, right? I don't want to do biglaw (not that it is really a likely option haha) but I'm leaning toward a public service/interest career.

Penn State has an LRAP but it seems kind of iffy as it just started in 2003. As of 2005, only five people were receiving LRAP assistance.

But Pitt is ranked so much higher and the job prospects are better. I feel like I should definitely go to Pitt, I just want to be sure I'm not overlooking anything. I am open to living in Pitt after I graduate, but really I'm not positive where I want to settle.

Thanks! :)

Wait List / Re: Waitlist 06-07
« on: July 11, 2007, 05:21:33 PM »
Anyone getting off any more waitlists these days?  Movement anywhere?

Earlier this week I got offered part time status from Penn State. I thought that was pretty great, considering I had a deposit at Duquesne.

Then yesterday I get a call from Univ of Pittsburgh: I'm off their WL too!

So it looks like UPitt for sure. :)

Villanova sent an e-mail saying they have accepted some people, but not me. That's totally fine.

Richmond sent an e-mail saying that they did not receive enough withdrawals to warrent even going to the WL. If I hadn't already gotten into Pitt which I want to go to much more, I would be a little peeved because the Dean sent out an e-mail in April encouraging waitlisted applicants to take the June LSAT. If you're a dean and YOU start the ball rolling on that, you should be sure that you are going to go to the waitlist. Who knows, maybe they DID go to the WL and it's just a line.

Anyway, it has worked out very well for me and I can't complain. :)

Is anyone else having waitlist luck?
