Studying for the LSAT / Are LSAT tutors helpful?
« on: December 17, 2006, 07:58:13 PM »
Hello,

I cannot fit a full-length LSAT prepcourse into my schedule because of work, but a weekend course seems too short to really cover everything. So a tutor seems like a good investment...but I was wondering if any of you had used a tutor and found them helpful?

Thanks :)

Where should I go next fall? / How helpful are LSAT tutors?

Hello,

Did any of you guys who scored well on the LSAT use the tutors that the prep companies offer?

I cannot fit a full-length course into my schedule because of work, but a weekend course seems too short to really cover everything. So a tutor seems like a good investment...but I was wondering if any of you had used a tutor and found them helpful?

Thanks and good luck in your admissions cycle. :)

Studying for the LSAT / Re: How helpful is formal logic?

Thanks, guys. I think I will read the first few chapters of a logic textbook then, that's what I had been thinking of doing.  :)

I was wondering if any of you who have had classes in formal logic found that it helped you on the LSAT?  Thanks.  :)

Studying for the LSAT / Any Feedback on the University of MD test center?
« on: December 06, 2006, 10:01:06 AM »
I just signed up for the LSAT at the Univ of MD in Feb...is the test center really that bad? I am hearing some horror stories. Should I try to switch test locations? Help!

Thanks. :)

I live in Northern Virginia (suburban D.C.). So I have access to quite a few classes around here (but not Binary Solution, unfortunately).

I think I am torn between a Powerscore class and Testmasters class. I have heard that they use basically the same methods, is that right?

Hey thanks for the info everybody. I really appreciate it.  :)

I also think that when you are practicing with the preptests, you can calculate your score and find out how you did right away, so waiting three weeks probably feels really weird. I think you're pretty normal for freaking out.  :)

I myself decided to cancel my score, and at least that brought some kind of resolution (haha, maybe I am trying to hard to look on the brightside here). Is anyone else cancelling their score, or thinking about it?

Hello everyone,

I'm sure this has been covered before, but once and for all: which prepcourse would you guys recommend? Powerscore? Testmasters? I have definitely heard that Kaplan and Princeton Review are not so good. Any advice would be very appreciated; I am gonna cancel my score from the December LSAT that I just took, because I suck.  :-\

Thanks for the help and good luck to everyone!
