Personal Statement / Personal Statement mistake! (please help)

Hey There,

So I sent my application into a school but afterwards I found a typo. It says "I believe I can greatly contributing to aggregate of education" instead of "...I believe I can greatly contribute to the aggregate of education"

I just did too much editing and I guess I missed that...Should I call and see if i can send in the corrected copy or is it not a big deal, or am i *bleep*ed

Personal Statement / Diversity statement help and q's?

Hey everyone,

I was hoping I could get someone to look over my Diversity Statement. In my PS there is some mention of my diversity and overcoming adversity, is it bad if some of it overlaps? MY DS goes into more detail on my situation.

Studying for the LSAT / Looking for Advice

Hey Guys,

I took a princeton review course preparing for the september lsat and I ran into some problems with registration (long story) but I wasnt able to take the test. After a couple weeks off from studying I am ready to get back into the groove...

after taking a prep class and some weeks off, how do I study more? should I get more books (which ones)? or should I just take practice tests?

LSAC and LSDAS / acceptable addendum?

I'm not too sure on how this works, but I am thinking about the idea of writing a GPA addendum. During the first quarter of the year I received a 4.0. At the end of the quarter my grandmother passed away (primary guardian) and I fell into a depression, the following two quarters I received a 3.5, and 3.2. I started counseling and it really helped out and I know I will be in good condition during this fall quarter.

I am afraid that this decrease will be looked upon negatively. Addendum a good idea? Any ideas on how to approach it

How exactly would you add an addendum, like for GPA?

not getting too much into it, but a close family member died and I fell into a depression which helped cause a descending trend in grades (not too bad, though) through the year.

Hey All,

I will soon be taking a prep class. I am nervous about studying and taking practice tests because I don't want to overtest and maybe learn things "the wrong way". Is my concern valid?

Personal Statement / too depressing?

So I am thinking about my PS and I really want to talk about overcoming adversity. I have had an "active" life and I am afraid of my PS being depression as subjects show up like

-gang affiliation
-drug addiction and usage in home
-domestic violence in home
-traumatic childhood
-severe neurological illness

anyone have any advice on how not to sound like the misery dude, or is it more about how the subjects are approached?

any feedback would be greatly appreciated
