All you have to do is write an email saying you are withdrawaing you application. Go on the school website and you should it should say to whom you are supposed to send this email to. This isnt a big deal dont waster your time writing a whole letter explaining why you are not going there because they really dont care.

Lol sorry i dont have any info on Howord law i just wanted to tell living legend that he is an extremely annoying poster. EVERYONE on here knows that they are receiving information from random strangers PLEASE STOP starting every post with that same stupid paragraph. People come here for reassurance or a little help I'm sure they don't make decisions based soley on what people say on here, and if they do then they are idiots and deserve whatever happens.

Where should I go next fall? / U of I law or Chicago Kent
« on: April 10, 2013, 02:14:48 PM »
I received a $45,000 scholarship with no gpa stipulations from chicago kent. I also got waitlisted at U of I, i never really planned on going there and applied extremely late in the cycle. Now i am wondering if i do get accepted to U of I is it worth leaving all that money and attending U of I at sticker price, which I'm assuming will be the case since I have been waitlisted. Also, I want to practice law in Chicago. Thanks for any feedback

Law School Applications / Re: Chicago Kent/Loyola law
« on: March 07, 2013, 11:47:57 AM »
I got accepted into both with a 45,000 scholarship from kent and I'm still waiting to hear about any scholarships from loyola, they are supposed to send them out the second week of march. Right now I am leaning towards kent but if loyola gives me more money i'll probably end up going there. I don't think there is a big difference between the two. However, i have heard that kent is on the rise and loyola has had financial struggles. Are you deciding between the two too?

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Is it ok to......

From everything I have heard it is quite common to do that. Once you are accepted its not like they are going to take away ur admission because you asked for money. Law school is extremely expensive and they understand that. Asking for money will not hurt you, I am in the process of doing the same thing myself.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Depaul or Loyola chicago

The reason i was asking what school i should go to is because nothing in life is guaranteed, so i understand that the law firm job may not work out and in that case i wanted to know which school would give me a better opportunity to succeed.

I understand and respect eveything both of you are saying and I dont mean to sound like i am ignoring you. However, I am set on going to law school. I am fortunate because i have someone who i believe can get me a job at a law firm that i am presently working at as an assistant, granted that i do very well in law school. Because of that I think i find myself in a little different situation then most.

Sorry meant to say that i am not considering skipping law school. Please do not reply here and tell me how bad the job market is and that i shouldnt put myself in that kind of debt. I've done the research i am fully aware of the risk and understand how the job market is, i asked which school i should choose between the two so telling me to not go to law school is pointless.

Yea i am not considering law school all together. I'm fully aware of the job market but i am still confident i can find a good job. As for the scholarship, there is actually no gpa requirment so i cannot lose it no matter what happens.

Where should I go next fall? / Depaul or Loyola chicago
« on: February 28, 2013, 02:25:56 PM »
Depaul is offering me 60,000 in scholarships and Loyola is offering nothing. Is there a big enough difference between the two that I should consider leaving the money and going to Loyola? I know that it is always better to go to a higher ranked school, however, Loyola is only 20 spots higher. Just wondering what other peoples opinions are.

Thanks
