I'm starting a blog chronicling entertaining stories that you witness happen or are involved in 1L.  If any of you have good stories, starting w/ orientation please personal message me and I'll post it and attribute it to your LSD screen name as the writer.

I don't care if the stories are funny, or if you are just pissed off about a fellow student or frustrated with a teacher or just whatever....shoot me the story and I'll post it and say written by "your LSD name"

Anyone read this? I just got done reading it and found it very interesting.  It is only about 200 pages and all it teaches you is HOW to study in law school via the MASTER OUTLINE. 

It's not one of those books (like Planet Law School, as I've heard on another thread) that tries to "get you a head start", but it is all about strategy as a 1L once it begins.  I realize there are 1000's of books like this.  I was just wondering if anyone else read this and liked it.

Financial Aid / Is my Scholarship screwed?

I sent in a BASIC financial aid scholarship form.  The internet connection was horrible. It sent w/ out an essay, then i sent it again w/ the essay.  So whats gonna happen?

How much time is spent in the class room daily at law school?  How long is each individual class (on average, i realize it's probably different everywhere)?

At my undergrad classes are usually either 50 min (3x week) or 1:15 min. (2x week).  What's a law school schedule going to look like?

If you get a JD that specializes in sports law, what exactly type of job can you expect to get.  Does it mostly prepare you to be an agent or what type of job can you expect to find.

Law School Applications / Public defender = cheap law school in Georgia?

Is it true that if you sign something that says you will be a public defender for 3-4 years after you graduate lawschool, you get over half your law school paid for in Georgia?  Is this true for UGA or any law school in Georgia?

Law School Applications / Can visiting a Law School on their official visit day help admissions?

I get post cards to come and visit on a day where I have not received a decision yet.  Can meeting people on this day affect their decision by the interest shown in taking the visit? And conversely can not visiting show lack of interest? There is one visit scheduled for Feb. and I already got a letter that said they will make a decision on me in April (so that means I was deferred correct?).  Would it help at all if I took the visit?
