Law School Discussion

My sister asked me the same thing just last week and I had to tell her no as well.  Remember, you may be confident in her ability to make payments right now, but in the event that she loses her job or something happens and she can't make the payments, if you don't have the money to make them either your credit report will suffer.  Only do it if you have the back-up money to make the payments (which you would also be willing to use) if you need to.

I thought I'd see what you guys have to say about this since my school seems to be ignoring my phone calls and e-mails on this subject...

My school's health plan in regards to prescriptions is terrible.  It covers up to $500 of prescriptions per year, the prescriptions I'm on cost almost $400/month, so their plan isn't going to work for me. 

Does anyone know if schools consider raising COL budget to include private health insurance?  I would like to buy a plan from blue cross but the rates are around $300-500/month (and there would be co-pays)....

Has anyone done this before?

Are they included in the tuition & fees costs, or do we have to take it out of our living expenses?

I live in South Florida now, Boston before that, DC before that, Toronto before that.  Never lived in the midwest - I've only been to Chicago once and I've never been to Ohio.  It'll be interesting! 

Ok, maybe not...just got the mail - rejected at Chicago-Kent and NIU    I'm a little bummed because I really wanted to go to Kent, and logistically Chicago would have been so much better for me, but at least everything's settled now.  I'm officially going to Toledo!
