Northeastern is in every aspect a considerably better school than Suffolk. I have no idea wtf the people claiming otherwise are thinking, but the career statistics of each school leaves very little doubt.

The big bad thing about adcoms reading this stuff and LSN is that they might start some very selective yield protection. Mainly in terms of yield protection I expect. You can rank your schools on LSN, and if the adcom finds you and can see that you have clear preferences over their school that you are likely to get into they might ding you to pretty up their stats. I don't know to what degree this happens. I've been exceptionally un-paranoid both here and on LSN, and nothing bad has happened to me because of it. I'd think it's a one in a million chance it'd be used against you.

Didn't you get a 153 and use your surpeme soft factors to get into NYU? Yet, here you mentioned going from 156 to 178? If you had a 178 on an LSAT, even with a 153 or 156 beforehand, it hardly makes your NYU acceptance noteworthy...

I was accepted with a 156. I retook in June (2007) and scored a 178. That was obviously after my NYU acceptance, and did not affect it. Although I expect they were quite thrilled to be able to report me as a 178 instead of a 156 to USNews.

And yes, apparently the consensus (at least among a couple of people here) seems to be that I'm a flame. Can't really say I give a *&^%.

Lots of smart people from good schools fail it each year. Look at JFK Jr.
