If you don't get a positive reply in a week or so, I would call the Asst. Dean of Admissions. Thanks for the reply. Guess that seems like a reasonable course of action. Hope I don't step on any toes. UCLA is really frustrating me. I sent my application in via snail mail so it was a hard copy application. I realize electronically would have been a bit better but nevertheless it should have gotten there fine. I call in they say they've received it. Ok great. That was 2 months ago. All along these past two months I keep checking lsac and they still haven't requested my LSDAS report. I check again a couple weeks later and send 2 emails regarding the LSDAS report and how it still shows them as not having requested it.
Now as acceptances are starting to roll in for UCLA I can't help but wonder if something has gone wrong. But everytime I call them the person assures me (albeit hastily) that everything is fine. Do I have to go up the chain of command to get some solid answers? Has this happened to anyone else? 317

I just got off the phone with Notre Dame. They typically do send a few acceptances before Christmas but the nice young lady I talked to on the phone said they have a new committee this year so there is really no precedent as to what they'll do now. Also they're currently reviewing ED applicants but for those regular applicants that applied relatively early, they may have a decision on their file before Christmas. Finally the bulk of the decisions, so says the nice lady on the phone, will be going out the first or second week of January.

Where should I go next fall? / Re: Michigan State« on: November 30, 2006, 01:43:45 PM »I am applying there as one of my safeties.. obviously a huge safety, but do you guys think that it will place well in Chicago or surrounding areas? Better than Cooley, but that's not saying much. Look you're up against all the Chicago law schools, plus the Indiana schools like Notre Dame and IU who are all competing for the same market. Practically everyone in the Midwest wants Chicago. So I think anyone that tells you it will be easy to find a job there is somewhat misinformed. |
