Where should I go next fall? / Re: Penn State
« on: January 27, 2007, 03:26:12 PM »
Thanks to both of you :-)

I've been to Carlisle several times (granted a long time ago, and for Corvette shows), and I actually like it. I grew up in a small rural town, so I actually prefer Carlisle to University Park. That said, I'm concerned about what the campus is like while the new law buildings are being built. How close is the transition building to Dickinson's main campus, and how is parking? Also, how are the current changes affecting the school's reputation?

In terms of housing, is there a particular area (or even apartment complex) where students tend to live? It seems like options might be limited in Carlisle, although rent is a lot cheaper than what I'm used to in Jersey.

This is a random question, but can you use a MAC? I know that in some schools they're not compatible with exam software, but I don't know if this is the case @ PSU-DSL.

Wait List / Re: Waitlisted @ American

Agreed. It's just frustrating, because I'd love to visit the area and see the school, but I don't want to get my hopes up if I have no chance of ever moving off the list.

Wait List / Waitlisted @ American

...I just found out today. Has anyone ever been waitlisted there? I'm curious about how long it will take for me to hear their final decision.

I just got waitlisted @ American with the same LSAT and a higher GPA. I definitely don't attend an Ivy League school, though, so your chance of being accepted could be significantly higher than mine.

Waitlisted @ American. I completely expected it, but I'm still bummed.
