Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Waitlisted @ American

Agreed. It's just frustrating, because I'd love to visit the area and see the school, but I don't want to get my hopes up if I have no chance of ever moving off the list.

...I just found out today. Has anyone ever been waitlisted there? I'm curious about how long it will take for me to hear their final decision.

I just got waitlisted @ American with the same LSAT and a higher GPA. I definitely don't attend an Ivy League school, though, so your chance of being accepted could be significantly higher than mine.

Waitlisted @ American. I completely expected it, but I'm still bummed.

FT, and I hope I can pull up my LSAT score so they take me seriously.

Haha...I think that may have been in my newsletter as well. My sister told me about it over the phone, and she mentioned something about it saying, "you should apply?" WTH?

Choosing the Right Law School / Penn State
« on: January 22, 2007, 04:47:34 PM »
Are there any current students/applicants who can give me any info---both good and bad---about Penn State (specifically, the Carlisle campus)? I just got accepted last week, and I have yet to visit. Besides basic research online on the academic programs and 2 campus transition, I know very little. Any info would be much appreciated.

In addition to being curious about the campus, I also want to know how portable a Penn St. JD is. I hope to practice in either NJ, NY, or CT, so I need a school that lets me be a little mobile post graduation. While I'm not aiming for BIGLAW, I also don't necessarily want to live in Lancaster County. Generally speaking, what is Penn State's reputation in law practice past Pennsylvania's borders?
