I passed the ILL Bar exam, but now my file has been forwarded for review. I have to meet personally with an board member, 10/30. I have only a vague idea why. I failed to disclose one traffic citation, for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, to my school. The school required disclosure citations with $200 greater fine. The fine was $214! It never occurred to me that it was more than $200, I paid it ~5 years ago.

I apologized in writing to my school and they sent a letter to the Board pardoning me. Other than that I know nothing.

Anybody know what to expect?

What do you guys know about tablet PC's? I've heard they are very reliable though expensive.

Socratic Method / Asking questions in class.

Ok so in my classes we ask tons of questions and give the profs hypos which they usually throws back at us.  We, of course, maddly write (type in my case) down all of them.  How likely is it that the prof will take one of the hypos we came up with and put it or a variation of it on the exam? 

I think they may, because I gave the prof a hypo and she says "that's a good question I think I'll put that on an exam; <pause> not yours of course."  So given that statment can I conclude she wouldn't put a hypo we came up with on an exam or just that specific one?

General Board / Chicago student roommate

I'm moving into a 2 bdr condo about 20min from DePaul law school in Chicago this fall.  I am looking for a good roommate.  I have a lot of requirments, but basically I want someone mature, who is serious about studying.  Here is part of my wish list.

Male
Non-smoker
Non-drinker
quiet
clean and neat
honest (say what you mean and mean what you say and follow through!
financially stable (this will likely cost $7-800/mth)

I meet all these criteria and expect my roommate to do the same.

So I hear appearance is very important.  The question is how important is it in law school?  I don't intend to be the guy wearing a 3-piece suit to class, but then I don't want to have people thinking I'm a knob for wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt.  I suppose I could wait till class starts to decided how casual I can go, but then I won't have time to go out and buy clothes (ya I shop once a year if I really think it's necessary).

Ok I have a dilema.  Here are the facts.

I start DePaul law school this fall with a half scholarship each year contingent on maintaining a 3.3 gpa.  However, room, board, books, and living expenses are all mine.

I would like to get some substantial prep done for law school in order to help maintain my scholarship.  I have decided not to work while attending law school for this same reason.

I wait tables which pays about $14/hr (less during the week more on weekends). 
(I must maintain 25hrs/wk in order to keep health ins.)

I have a tax free job working for my dad (he pays the taxes) which pays $12/hr and I can work whenever I like for as long as I like.

I have downloaded 20 pages of scholarships worth thousands (contingent on winning) that I am eligable for.

How should spend my time? (LG)
