Law School Applications / Re: Ranked #1 on the waitlist
« on: July 11, 2007, 11:19:07 AM »
It would be really cute if this was the same school telling both of you that you're their #1.  It would seem like you're both on your way in as long as one more person withdraws,  congrats.

They told me I was #1 too.  :'(

General Off-Topic Board / Re: I have hate for these things.

People who walk their dogs without leashes, especially big dogs...or people who allow their 40 lb children to walk their 100 lb dogs

I hate dog-haters.

My hate is directed at stupid dog owners, not dogs.  I plan to get a dog 2L year.

Sorry I'm bored, we were supposed to go to T's, but everyone bailed...on the plus side, people will be spared my karaoke singing

*&^%, then I better get some pictures/posters/ancient relics, I don't wanna be the only weirdo without any decorations.

I think I should buy pictures. It seems like the adult thing to do.

All I really own in terms of decorations is this ancient statue/woodcarving type thing I bought while visiting some erotic temples in India (Khajuraho). Not sure if I want to bring that...

While it's hypocritical of me, I vote that you not buy pictures.  You are going to be moving  up to three more times in the next three years (more if you move out for the summers or do judicial clerkships).  Moving sucks.  You'll accumulate too much crap even without wanting to.  There is no reason to try to accumulate anything extra and move them 5 times in the next 5 years.  Stuff gets broken, and scratched, and lost, and loses its newness, and otherwise becomes a huge burden.

Thats true... in fact, thats a pretty good excuse NOT to decorate: I'm moving soon. Plus, at this stage of my life, I don't trust my visual taste beyond a few weeks.

In 4 years, I never put up any pictures/posters decorations, and I probably won't in Chicago either.  Not saying is the right call, just saying you won't be the only one in Regents with boring apartment decorations.  ;)
