i started law school this fall at age 46.  doing well, as far as i can tell, as the only grade i've gotten back was a legal writing paper.

heck, the "kids" in my class even elected me to one of the Student Bar Association positions  8)

as far as applications go, i likewise didn't prep much for the lsat and got a 152 to go along with my stellar 3.08 gpa.  whee.  however, i did have a masters and 28 years work experience to go with it.  i applied to 31 ABA schools (call it overkill, but i didnt think anyone would let me in either) but i was straight up accepted to 14; and ended up going to u arkansas little rock on an in-state tuition scholarship.

throw your line out there and see who bites

Ok, so I tried to stay away, and I was doing a pretty good job until I got to the rule of perpetuities.  Then my brain clawed it's way out of my head.

don't you love that fertile octogenarian and unborn widow stuff?

what a boatload.  i should be so lucky to have a future widow of mine unborn.  we had a huge class argument about artificial insemination friday.   :P

Ah, you mean the posthumous parentage of a child en ventre sa frigidaire?

wow, law school sounds like fun!

i dont know about fun.  it's certainly different.

What was she profiling it for?

i dont know.  it was on some commercial the restaurant uses here, so we thought we'd check it out.

Yeah, too early to discuss accepts, wl and rejects for most, if not all...

Im applying to the following...

T4 - Regent, JM -ATL, UDC, St Thomas (fl), Nova SE, Fl Coastal

T3 - Stetson

T2 - Ga State, Mercer

Many JM grads work in the Atlanta area in many different capacities, I was impressed with my visit to UDC...very advocacy oriented...

this thread was a great help last year.  ga state wouldnt touch my 152 in 2006.  i'm currently at arkansas, little rock -  love it - my understanding is that it travels well in the south.  in state tuition rates to all out of staters.  last bar pass rate of over 90%.  and the application is free, so all it will cost you is the $12 bucks for lsdas.

good luck

So I thought to myself, "Where should I go without a brain?  The land of Oz?  NO!  LSD!"

So at any rate, I'm back.

Cursing Magnus, because I was channel flipping and happened to watch an episode of Battlestar Galactica, which hooked me immediately.

At any rate.
