Hurley, did you find it via Craigslist or an agent?

Just got back from NOLA yesterday.  We got a place right around the corner of Freret and Jefferson, so walking to school will be a breeze.  Other than one little wrench in our plans the trip was great and I got to hang out with my 2 roommates and 4 other future 1L's.  I can't wait to move down in a couple months.

Has everyone on here secured housing already? If so, where?  I'm starting to doubt that I'll be able to find something within walking distance, which is what I really, really want.  I just contacted a guy about a posting he put up on Craigslist last week for an apartment on Calhoun and he said that not only is it rented, but that every available apartment on Calhoun is rented out as well.

That is a lie.  I'm down here right now with a couple other guys and we looked at 3 places right next to each other on the 2800 block of Calhoun yesterday.

This year was actually the first year that I had not been playing baseball too.  I was supposed to play softball this spring but I sprained my ankle pretty seriously and wasn't able to play.

I'm a huge sports fan too.  Baseball is my passion, but I enjoy anything including, but not limited to: football, basketball, boxing, soccer, lacrosse, rugby, and cricket.  I've even got a cricket bat and ball if anybody is interested in playing a pickup game.  The only sport I really don't care about at all is hockey.  I watch it a little when the Stars are in the playoffs, but that is pretty much my limit.

I'm staying at the Avenue Garden Hotel for $53/nt and I used a discount code to get $50 off by booking through Orbitz.  The reviews seem decent and one of the guys I'm going down there with stayed there for the admitted students day and said it was a accepatable place to stay.

If you are staying for at least 3 nights you can use the code 50AFFORB at and get $50 knocked off the total.

two points

1.  The fact that the sec has the hottest girls in the country is undeniable.  I am pleased with my sec education and experience.  I can say that I have visited every sec school and they all have hotties with Vandy having the least and surprisingly I thought Arkansas had the most, must be the inbreeding.
2.  Sink you may not have my free beer I have never turned down a free beer well one time but who drinks hot bud light at 730 in the morning.

1. Do I hear Baton Rouge road trip in our future?

2. Frat boys, law students and alcoholics, although I think there could be some serious overlap between the first two and the last one.

Is anybody else going to be in NOLA next week?  I'll be down there along with a few other incoming 1L's looking for housing.  If anybody is in town and wants to meet up let me know.

Howdy. I already live here. You can PM me if you want and I can answer any questions you might have, or just chat. Are you a smoking hot chick who wants to date a relatively older man? If not, please ignore most of this statement.

BB's definitely right, I'm a 22 year old guy.  Keep an eye out for those smoking hot chicks though and let me know if you hear of anything.

I'm glad to have that information, but I'd like to know WHERE it came from. I'm trolling about on the welcome website and hitting brick walls. Seems my account doesn't work right or something, so I need to get some specifics in order to start diagnosing my idiocies against the computer's ineptitudes. Thanks ...

The exact schedule isn't on the Welcome Website.  It is on the Tulane intranet, which we don't have access to yet and was posted by a current TLS student.

What the previous posts were referencing (I'm assuming), was the First Year Classes document in the Documents section.

I think I could put up with an 8:30 class if Dean Ponoroff was teaching it.  I've heard things about Friedman though.  I'm not sure if I would want him or not.
