And I'm looking for a flying pig.  Scoping for any help with RC, which has "no quick fix".  so I'm even more SOL.  I wish I e-mailed my new spreadsheet to myself so I could work on it from work.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: LSAT Spreadsheet
« on: June 02, 2004, 10:29:18 AM »
You guys have ruined me;  I spent 4 hours last night setting up an XCell SS with like 15 worksheets.  One thing I'm looking into is the types of RC and LR questions.  Does anyone have a good list enumerating the types of questions?  ie. Main purpose of passage; or Flawed argument.  I made a list of my own, and it seems to be pointing me in a direction of a new plan of attack: where I would put a 2 initial moniker for the question in the margin then know which ones to redirect my focus and any extra time towards.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: RC horrible...any improvement?!?!?!?

I used to do the LG sections for fun, before even thinking about taking the test, so I never really studied those.  The LR sections I took other posters' advice on reading the question to identify what they were looking for before reading the short argument(s).  The RC, psha, I only do well on science related passages, but I picked up the Economist and am reading that cover to cover 'cause ppl said it helps get you in the mindset.  I'm unplugging my TV for the next 2 weeks (well except for the Sopranos finale).

Hrm... So I need to read books/mags/op-ed in the next 2 weeks.  Somehow I think it's a lost cause.  :( I think I need to rely on 100% LG to balance the scale.  I guess there are some things an engineering undergrad degree prepares you for.  ;)
