Tulsa / Re: Anyone considering or decided on the Univ of Tulsa?

As to the medical question I know quite a few classmates who spouse's work in the medical field here.  All of these people are from out of state so they found jobs pretty easily.  Granted this is not a detialed response because the only knowledge I have is second hand but I hope it eases your mind a little.

Rent depends.  I currently rent a 2 br house about 900 sq ft for $650 and its only 2 blocks from school.  I would say for a 2 br, which you want so that you have a study place at home, you will be looking at any where from $600 - $900.

Also something I was unaware of, either because my home town area doesn't do this or because only Tulsa does this, but Saturdays are the big days for housing stuff in the newspaper.  Also check criaglist there are usually some pretty great properties on there.

Tomed - try and live around campus, it makes things sooo much easier.  around May there will be a ton of rental properties and stuff for sale.

I haven't decided where I'm living.  Just know it will be off campus because of my dog.  The on campus apartments are nice.  They just built new ones just for law and grad students, so if he is interested that might be an option.

I'm from St. Louis, MO.  I enjoyed my visits to Oklahoma and I am starting to really enjoy the idea of living there, at least for a few years, after graduation.  Let me know what you decide.  I really liked both schools, but as I mentioned earlier I just felt that Tusla was more "homey" :) OCU seems like it is on the ball and trying to move up, as I'm sure all schools are, but you get what I'm saying, I hope.

I've visted both schools.  Overall, I liked Tulsa better, the people were just more friendly.  OCK has a newer building but to me that is not what is important.  What did you think of your visit?  Are you from OK?
