Where should I go next fall? / Help! Please.
« on: October 21, 2006, 11:18:27 PM »
I have a 153 and a LSDAS GPA of 2.6 and an undergrad GPA of 3.4.  I plan on writing an addendum for the GPA split.  Truth be told I just didn't care for the first 3 semesters, took some time off and went back and kicked booty.  Made the dean's list a couple of times. I am currently working on (and will have completed before fall 07) my Masters with a 3.7 GPA.  I know LSAC doesn't factor that in but I know it should (and hopefully will) make a difference to law schools.  It shows that I can do post graduate level work and that my bad grades from 9 years ago were meaningless in the long run. Anyhow sorry to ramble I would just like some LDSers opinons on where to apply (safeties, targets, reaches).  TIA

I've read some threads on this site and others saying that there are some law schools possibly loosing their ABA accreditation and provisional members who are likely to be fully accredited with in the next few years.  Where do you get this information?  I would like read over some of this information.  Thanks for your help.

Law School Applications / Now what?
« on: June 16, 2004, 12:17:31 AM »
Okay, so now many of us are finished with the LSAT and getting ready to start the application process.  Where is everyone at with this process?  Have you registered with LSAC, sent your transcripts, requested LOR, began PS?  Just curious to see where every body is in the process.

I have registered with LSAC.  They've processed all my transcripts.  I have to LOR on the way.  I still need to find a 3rd LOR and begin my PS.

Any ideas about what to write on for the PS?

getting some mixed information from the board.  is the experimental section #3?  if so how do you know (direct link to info would be great).  also did anyone without 3 LR sections have some questions about people catching trout and weighing them or protons and neutrons comeing in the earth at the exact time or a question which looked like this:
interviewer:blah blah blah (dont remember what is
was about but what it looked like)
  computer guy: blah blah blah
  interviewer: blah blah blah
  computer guy: blah blah blah
anyone with some insight would be greatly appreciated.  thanks from all of us with 3 LR sections

General Off-Topic Board / FICO score
« on: June 04, 2004, 05:20:51 PM »
So, I've been wondering about my credit score, because I know itís not that good.  I went ahead and got my reports and scores from myFICO and I'm confused.  There are 3 major agencies that financial institutions go to for your credit information.  I got a report from each one.  My credit score is very different on one of the reports.  I have a 568, 621, and a 628.  Anyone else have this issue arise?  Also what agency do most banks go through?  And how can I raise my score?
