Just a little off-topic, can we talk about gay books for a second? I've been taking advantage of this time before law school to fill up on fun reading, and I just found out about and bought Dan Savage's The Kid: What Happened After My Boyfriend and I Decided to Get Pregnant. Which I'm enjoying. But. It was published in 1999! Where the hell have I been?! What other great queer books have I missed out on?! Please list gay/trans/queer books that you've read and enjoyed so we can all catch up on our gay reading!

I'll start. In addition to the Dan Savage book, I recommend:

As Nature Made Him: The Boy Who Was Raised As a Girl (John Colapinto)
The Last Time I Wore a Dress: A Memoir (Daphne Scholinski)
Stone Butch Blues (Leslie Feinberg)

Sorry to post more bad news but I finally got my ding letter. Humiliating to be in the first batch.

Decision 1/10, dated 1/12, postmarked 1/15 for those interested. I had unsavory numbers, but man I had a dream.

Good luck to the rest of you, and I will definitely be watching a nice comfy Gilmore Girls rerun at 5pm to make me feel better.  ;)

And for what it's worth, I have that dream about realizing too late that I've only been taking half the classes I was supposed to ALL THE TIME! Also lots of dreams about not getting papers in on time. Very scary!

Want to make a great impression! ;)

Ack, forgive me! I thought they sent em priority! Just stirring up controversy and worry, I'm so sorry!!!!! Can I mention I had a dream last night that I got not one but *three* acceptance packages from UMich? Thus we're all getting in. Forgiven?

So they send the acceptance priority, right? And they can't possibly be sending rejections priority, do you think? So here's my theory: the more days that go by without a decision in the mailbox, the greater the chances that it's a rejection.
