Oh is it really? Two hours isn't bad at all. I was thinking it would be more. I guess there are going to be some very familiar-looking people at the Temple ASD! Question for people who RSVP'd for American: if you used that online form that was linked from the itinerary on the admitted students page, did you get a reply back? I'm thinking I might email them to double check that I reserved my space, 'cause I haven't gotten a response.

Oh yea, and American IS that liberal. Christiney, when you say liberal, do you mean Democrat liberal or Green liberal (to put it really reductively)? I guess what I'm asking is, do you mean there are lots of people who have the traditional pro-choice, gov't benefits views, or that they are really really left-leaning, progressive, grassrootsy liberals?

Wow, big congrats TirNaNog!! And sorry WorkingDef. I have to admit I feel very ill to see that initial AND alternate offers have been made. Frankly I'd rather live in this limbo dreamland than email them and find out I've been dinged. WD, I'm pretty sure after this there's no more merit aid. At least for 1L.

Aww, that's sweet, thanks I'll keep you in the loop. But I did some sophisticated googling and last year's scholars included people who did Peace Corps and worked at the UN . . . not to mention I found a kid who got the full-tuition Darrow at Michigan and was rejected from the PIPS. Not looking good for this gal. Oh well, fingers crossed! Anybody else out there, please post results!

Hmmmm... so then where does the rest of the scholarship money go? I am wondering the same thing. Shadow, can you also talk about the Loan Repayment Assistance Program? It's discussed here: http://www.wcl.american.edu/finaid/pilrap.cfm and other than the fact that you have to make under $40,000 to qualify, it doesn't look too bad. It says that after five years of working at that salary, 100% of your loan will be repaid.

AU has the reputation to pull amazing professors in this area. As far as this goes, I noticed in one of the booklets they sent us that Ralph Nader is an adjunct prof @ American!! Which, OMFG!! That sealed that deal for me! Does anyone know if anyone has actually taken a class from him? I hope it's not just that he taught one class ten years ago and he's still listed for publicity or whatever.
