MI Loan:

Links to all lenders are here:

ty as always!

Yeah, I tapped the MommaPiggy bank for a pre-loan loan.   :D

You can submit a planned purchase before buying the computer, but they still don't disburse the loan until the first day of class (if I understand things correctly... anyone else?).

I think you're correct. They asked me to submit supporting documentation (receipts and whatnot) for my computer purchase and to pick a private lender. I'm pretty sure it won't disburse until the rest of the loan.

BTW, you can take out extra for insurance at any point during the semester.

Yo yo yo,

Question: Where on the vastness of the interwebs do I go to apply for the MI loan?

OK, so... the way the thing Ron was left works, basically, in addition to what he can do with lights, he can also hear what people are saying when his name is spoken, no matter where they are.  That's how he found Ron and Hermione.  So, that means Dumbledore has always had this capability, as long as he had this on him or near him.  So, like in the Chamber of Secrets, when Harry says that Dumbledore is the greatest sorcerer in the world, and then Fawkes comes, is this how it happened?  Did Dumbledore hear this, understand Harry needed help, and send Fawkes to him?

And it would also partially explain how Dumbledore knows so much that's going on.  I mean, all of the times Hermione tells Harry he needs to go to Dumbledore and tell him something... well, Dumbledore would immediately be notified by way of this device.

WINNA WINNA CHICKEN DINNA!

JKR is such a tease.

For some reason, I picture you saying that with authority and the shadow of a wink in your eye. Hott.

another thing just popped into my head:  why exactly did Regulus have a change of heart?  he was so pro-LV and then all of sudden, he changed and stole a Horcrux...why?

I think it said that he was disconcerted because of the means that LV would go to, etc.

BTW, I don't like that Snape's nickname was "Sev"... that's what my friends and I used to call 7-11s growing up.

Thinking about it more, I realize how utterly disappointed I was with the epilogue. It should have been an epic 75 pager or something.

My flight arrives at DTW at 10:20 on Friday 8/17 --- if anyone is arriving around that time and wants to share a shuttle lemme know.  Its $35 for one person or $40 for two people, $45 for three and so on...

AM or PM? Also, GCoop, can I have one of those links por favor?

I second pretty much what everybody said, so I won't bother repeating... although I think I was probably more emotional than all y'all. I've become such a sap in my old age. ;)

BTW, AJaKe, the locked room in the Dept. of Mysteries had love in it (somehow)... I think that's the point, though, that it's always locked because it's the biggest mystery of all.

I wonder who was slated to have done magic later in life. I thought it'd be Petunia for sure, but I thought JKR said it wasn't her. Oh well.

The one thing you guys don't seem to be discussing is the transition from subtle to not-so-subtle Christian themes. This was made plain by the amount of times they said the word "God" -- especially when someone said "Thank God" -- since I don't remember them ever saying it in any previous book. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Okay... who's getting ready to camp out for Book 7 tonight?

I preordered from Amazon - they promise to deliver tomorrow or it's free.

Yeah... I was gonna go out tonight, but I think I want to be awake for the 8am delivery.
