BTW, I was wrong about start time for MAP. It begins with the banquet, which starts at 6pm I believe, in the Campus Inn for some reason.

Homefries, tatertots, macaroni and . . . ?

What is "Things YOU won't eat" together?

I'll take Gengis for $1,000, please, Alex.

The number of threads Gengis has started plus the average number of drinks she consumes in a night, divided by her projected GPA if she continues to not study.

404, Gengis not found (studying).

Does anyone get into DTW on Aug 21st? I'm getting in at 3:30 PM. Or... if a generous soul would like to be compensated with, say, dinner and drinks, maybe they could pick a guy up who's down on his luck? :)

What are y'all with Gmail accounts (or other webmail, whatever) doing about your UMich address?  I've added it to my Gmail account but suspect it doesn't update nearly as often as I'd like, especially considering the amount of listserv traffic in the first few weeks of school.  Am I missing somewhere I can specify how often it checks for new mail?  I just wanted to avoid having to log into two separate email accounts (using MacMail or simply the webmail URL in addition to Gmail).  What do normal people do in this situation?

After you set up Mail Fetcher, Google will check your other account on a regular basis, and new mail will appear automatically in your account. Gmail checks for new messages at different rates for individual accounts, depending on previous mail fetch attempts. Please note that you can't customize the default frequency of mail fetches.

I suppose that if you're bothered by the frequency, you can either set up automatic forwarding to your gmail account from your umich account, or you can use another program that allows customization of the frequency (I think Outlook and Outlook Express do this, maybe Thunderbird...)

I'm curious if that bit you copied from Google means that when they start checking my UMich account in September and realize I'm getting 4000 emails, their software will adjust accordingly and fetch my email more frequently.  But I appreciate the other suggestions.  I'll just wait and see what happens when the year starts and we start learnin'!

Sounds like it to me. It's adaptive ("depending on previous mail fetch attempts") so it probably knows how many messages it fetches and maybe the times and adapts to fetch as often as it thinks necessary. I guess. I hope.  :-\

Uh, I need school to pause.  Not start.

I just noticed your Little Miss Trouble 'tar... I read like all of the Mr. books growing up! I love how most of the characters are @#!* ups. (I'm changing my 'tar in honor of this moment in childhood memories.)

EE, I might have asked before, but have you ever worked with Javascript?

A little bit and a long time ago, but I can probably find someone to answer a question if you have one.

Yay, I found what I needed! Check-in for MAP is at 3pm (in case anyone is wondering).

Dood ... you have the MAP schedule?  Can you forward it to me?

No, just the check-in time (it was on the form that we used to sign up). Bouzie: yes, definitely the 21st. Trudy might send me more info tomorrow, though, since I asked for some. If she does, I'll post it.

Does anyone have the itinerary for MAP? I could've sworn I had it but I can't find it. I just need to know what time it starts on the 21st.

Have they put it out yet?  I haven't seen it.

Maybe I'm imagining it. I'm probably mixing it up with the regular orientation itinerary.  :-\
