Where should I go next fall? / Re: UT/Residence

that's good because I'm applying early, so i hope you're right!

But doesn't it seem more logical that they'd evaluate the out of state people on a more stringent basis? If for 35% of the student body they can get a 3.80 GPA and a 170 LSAT average, it seems like they'd do that rather than just have it first come first serve on the average of in staters. If that makes any sense.

just a thought, but it's always possible you'll fall in love with the area of the country you go to. maybe you're inescapably close to your family or something, but don't count out regions of the country just because you assume you want to work in chicago unless there's a big reason. Especially if you like Texas so much!

i assume the same doesn't hold true for what are basically academic dual degrees? I'm interested in a JD/MA in political science because i have an academic interest in the field, but i can't imagine it'd increase my career prospects, right? Right?

Wow. You guys have really hijacked the LSAT Insider thread. I mean, circle jerks?

yes there is some quality hijacking going on tonight.

iscoreda, get a strong alcoholic drink in hand immediately and join us.

See, that technique worked for about two days, but I just don't have the liver money to keep it up for 18 more days. I have to spend at least a few hours suffering sober.

that page is awesome! thanks! my GPA is okay at a 3.69 and my two practice LSATs were okay at 168 and 170, but who knows whether that'll change. So I can just hope that it's enough to get in there. If not, life goes on!

LSAT horror stories / Re: Were you one of these LSAT test takers?

I was "can't write in cursive guy." I had to ask for more time to finish the damn thing not once but TWICE. I don't think i've ever blushed more, but dammit, i really couldn't finish the darn thing as fast as everyone else.

Why exactly DO we have to do it in cursive?

effing 18 more days. I kind of want to cry. At least when I get my score I'll have something to cry about and then move on. This way I'm just going to sit here and obsess. I mean, what healthy type of individual looks up LSAT forums just to make himself miserable after he took it? No one. That's right. And yet here I am driving myself mad.
