Law School Admissions / Re: Community college

Jackie, no worries.  I don't think that the community college will hurt you.  Just keep your grades up and go to a good 4-year and keep your grades up there.  Schools will see that you went to GM for one year, went to a CC for one and back to a good 4-year school.  There are many reasons for this -- money, family emergency, etc.  Law schools will be looking for how well you did throughout school and the school you graduate with will have more wieght.  Plus, you did not fail out of GM, just had to move on for various reasons.

This is just my opinion though. Someone else on this board may have actually gone through this.

Law School Admissions / LL.M question
« on: June 18, 2004, 10:49:50 PM »
Okay, I have looked through this forum and can't find that much information about LL.M.  What are the advantages to getting an LL.M (besides spending several extra grand)?  Does it provide much advangage in the job market?  Can you teach at a 4-year college with a LL.M or do you need a J.S.D?  Do most people get a LL.M while getting a J.D. or do they take the program after finishing law school?

I plan to take Powerscore here in the California.  Class starts in August.  I was debating about PS and TM, I finally decided on PS because it appears to be very similar to TM and is cheaper.  Plus, I purchased the PS Logic games bible, which will fall right in line with the course.
