Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Is Iowa overrated?
« on: September 12, 2007, 11:04:33 PM »
I was thinking of applying there, but I heard that it is way overrated by USNWR. With that said, I am looking into Big10 type law schools and wanted your thoughts.

160 LSAT, 3.54 LSDAS GPA, what I consider a good PS, and good/solid resume, extracurric. I also an Asian-American Male. Where could I get some $ from Tier 1 to Tier 2? I just want your honest opinion, as I attempt to re-arrange my list of schools (looking more nationally now)

I worked part-time at a law firm in D.C. and am now about to start working as an Research Asst. for a professor at a t25 law school. I wonder if this would bump me up in add comm's eyes a little.

Personal Statements, Resumes, and Letters of Recommendation / How Many?
« on: September 07, 2007, 08:44:36 PM »
I should have 4 by the end of the month... how many SHOULD I have to be safe?

Hi guys, I am writing an addendum, not for law schools, but rather to a community college to have a failing grade changed to a withdrawal. It's very important to me, both personally and professionaly, that this letter be taken seriously and hopefully, empathetically by those who will make a decision on my situation. I can pm it over to you, and all input would be great. Thanks so much.

Law School Admissions / What is generally considered "applying early"?
« on: September 05, 2007, 10:23:25 PM »
Are we talking about end of september/early october? I hope to get my stuff out by then, and with rolling admissions, how much do you suspect sending apps in early helps? 1 - 2 points worth on the LSAT?

I will pm it to you. It is getting close to final draft. That is, of course, as long as no one completely trashes it. In which case.....
