Studying for the LSAT / Re: Neck Cramps & Fatigue
« on: January 22, 2007, 04:06:58 PM »
The icy hot patch sounds like a great idea.  I've been using a backbrace for the longest time and it helps, but there is still pain.  Perhaps this icy hot patch would be a good solution.  I'll let everybody know how it works out on my next practice test.

Studying for the LSAT / Neck Cramps & Fatigue
« on: January 20, 2007, 01:00:26 AM »
Hello everybody, I have a question for all my fellow LSATers out there.  When I'm taking the LSAT, by the time I get to the 3rd or 4th section I start to get neck cramps and back aches.  This probably stems from the fact that I have a very bad lower back, but I'm sure everybody experiences some sort of physical fatigue at some level.  This physical discomfort distracts me from the big task at hand (the LSAT).  Has anybody ever experienced this and overcame it?  If so, what did you do?  Any help is appreciated!   :)

Studying for the LSAT / Reading Material Prep for RC
« on: October 09, 2006, 12:34:55 PM »
I heard people read dense reading materials like editorials in the Wall Street Journal to prep for the RC portion of the LSAT.  Does anybody know any other materials I should read?

Studying for the LSAT / Re: importance of gpa

It depends.  Different schools have a different weighing scale when it comes to GPA and LSAT scores.  Some schools look at your LSAT as more important and other schools look at it vice versa.

But in your scenarios...the second applicant's LSAT score and GPA looks about right, but the first applicant looks like he bombed on the LSAT or he is just not built for it.  I might be jumping the gun here, but I would expect a person with a 3.6 GPA to score at least in the high 150s - low 160s.  If I was the admissions officer, this is what I would be thinking and I'll have to make a decision based on my personal discretion along with the school's admission policies.
