My guess is the 29th or 30th. That is primarily based on a look at the calendar. I guess we'll begin to get word within the next few hours if they indeed come out today.

does it mean anything if a dashed border appears around the Test Info of your account status page?  I don't remember it being there this morning

I noticed this too. The border appeared today. Just checked it again, and it is now gone. I checked another LSAT website (we'll call it Swap Bra Wools) and some others have noticed the dashes as well. General consensus is they mean nothing.

Although someone did point out that if you attempt to highlight in the Score and Percentile fields, it appears as though (DISCLOSURE: I know nothing about html and/or website maintenance) something exists in these fields whereas you cannot highlight in other apparently blank fields on the page.

Passing this information along so everyone else who is geeking out can have something to chew on until Christmas.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Weighing whether I should apply to GULC

Def. agree on apps to Cornell and Duke.

I'm still waiting on Dec. scores (a whole 'nother story) but this is encouraging, even if I'm a point off where I ought to be. At least in regards to Cornell. I'm not looking at Duke and a quick look at last cycle's LSN suggests I probably shouldn't bother unless my pre-test nerves didn't get to me as much as I think they did.

To the OP, take a look at GULC's LSN. It looks like - so far - almost everyone 167+/3.7+ has been accepted (one 167/3.7+ WL'ed) and everyone 167/<3.7 has been denied. Of course, it looks like most of those apps went out in Oct. (ED's? I don't know.)

I'm not familiar with GULC's apps essays, but write the hell out of one of them and consider the $92 an investment in your future.

I think there is a general consensus on this board that Nova's Master the LSAT is worthwhile for its coverage of RC. Enough so anyways that I purchased a copy for myself. My copy is pretty much brand new, PM me a price if you're interested.

Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Stupid question about LSAC GPA

If the GPA conversion is different between your UG and LSAC or you have units from another school like community colleges or something else, use http://www.lawpad.com/gpa_calculator/.  I had the same question and this tool gave me an accurate GPA.

Very useful. Thanks!

On TLS, the consensus is definitely that section 3 (2nd LG) was experimental. I've also confirmed with friends who have had only one LG. (Sorry to LSD if this discussion is breaking any rules, I can take it down if need be)

This makes me feel better and so it is what I am going to believe. I reversed a rule in my 2nd LG section and didn't realize until I finished the game. After belittling myself, I went back and fixed my answers. Then I took a minute to think about how I had ruined my chances at anything but a TTT, convinced myself this is (Read: HAS TO BE) the experimental (or I will be retaking), and then went the bathroom because I couldn't hold my bladder another 25 minutes til break.

Thank you, Fresh Prince.

Of course, you could have had my 3rd LG section first, and my first third. In which case, I'm screwed. I choose to ignore this fact.

I'm thinking/hoping it was the second of the LG sections. I've never taken an experimental section, but from how others have described them, it just feels 'different' than a normal section. LR, LG, RC, whatever. I also don't think they would place the experimental section first, (my LG sections came first and third) as the goal of the experimental section is to develop future test questions and there are probably statistics somewhere that show people freak out and miss more questions than they should during the first section. ...I'm sure this was the case in my situation.

Studying for the LSAT / Re: How do you deal with a bad day?
« on: December 04, 2008, 10:08:52 PM »
Same thing happened to me this week. Granted, your scores (both high and low) are a few points above mine. But anyways, I just looked over the questions I missed until I rationalized why I missed the questions I did and made myself feel better. Took another practice test today and felt slightly better. But it's a little late for that now. So basically, make yourself feel better and then relax. Good luck.

I'm in a similar situation, except, since I took a few days off for the holiday, I'm scoring 5+ points lower (163 on the last two PT's since Thanksgiving) than I had been in weeks prior (168-170). I reviewed the LRB and, seeing as the LR sections have been my worst, I may have simply been overthinking the questions.

Anyways, my point is, good luck this weekend and try to relax. I've been saving PT #50 so I'll take that timed, but otherwise I'm just going to methodically review test questions and settle down the next few days.
