I got a received email back in late November and then a complete email in early December...then yesterday I got a "we've received your application email"...got to love that! And, yes, I too got the email on disaster relief efforts in New Orleans.

And roger! I applied last year and was on the alternate list. Are you currently in the Army? If so, go to JAGC and you can sign in with your AKO and check for the list (not up as of this post).

First decision but second application to UT (I was deferred last year). I ended up retaking the LSAT (157, 167) in October and got real lucky. I wish the best of luck to everyone that is trying to go.

I got in! My online status checker now says:
Status Updates Your JD application was processed on November 21, 2006 Admission was granted on December 14, 2006 No letter yet but I'm watching the street for the mail truck. Top 5 days of my life! I love UT! 16

So I'm a psycho (and a longtime lurker) - I called UT's admissions department today (incredibly nice people there) and they said that my admissions decision was sent last week in the mail. Now I'll be camping out at my mailbox everyday. BTW, my UT Law Application Status still says:
"Your JD application was processed on XXXXX XXX, 2006 and is currently being considered for Early Decision." I sooooo want to be a longhorn. Congrats again sladkaya - hopefully I'll get to meet you in orientation.
