So someone tell me whats so great about Cornell (besides it being an IVY)

Hi Towelie,

NYU and Columbia are pretty much head to head in most rankings. IMO, Columbia has a better history than NYU but I think NYUs recent raid of Columbia profs will catapault them over Columbia.

Texas,Cornell, and GULC are basically tied in my rankings and tuition give Texas the advantage.

PS For some reason I hate Cornell. It's supposed to be cold, gray, far away from all the major cities, competitive and lacks a variety of classes. What am I missing here?

Are people really competitive?
Is the social life as bad as some people make it out to be?
How does the campus look?

Here are my personal rankings for the top 15 law schools. The only factor is my personal opinion of the law schools.

1. Yale
2. Harvard
3. Stanford
4. Chicago
5. NYU
6. Columbia
7. Virginia
8. Penn
9. Michigan
10.Berkley
11.Northwestern
12.Duke
13.Texas
14.Cornell
15.Georgetown

Thats very odd that while Georgetown is T14 and Texas is not, more people seem to choose Texas (on this board and other boards as well). I guess the cost of tuition makes a big difference, or is it something else?

Hypothetically, if you were accepted to only those 2 law schools, where would you go and why?
Which one is better overall?
What are the signifigant differences between the two?

Thanks
