From what I've heard, NYU is stronger in tax law, international law, clinics, public interest, and philosophy and Columbia is stonger in the most other areas (ie twice as many SCOTUS clerks over a certain time period).

I don't know much about the process so I just had a quick question: What is the purpose of a resume? Wouldn't you just be repeating everything from your applications?

Canadian Citizens can apply for Rhodes scholarships but not for Marshalls or Trumans.
Are there any similar well known scholarships for Canadians?

GC, How accurate do you think Law school confidential is?
Also, I've heard diff things about Ivy briefs, how would you compare it to 1L?
Finally, did you find "should you be a lawyer" helpful? Or is it just commmon sense such as you shouldn't be a lawyer just because 1. You like to argue 2. You don't know what else to do etc.
Thanks

thanks and no I don't have any particular concerns just trying to get a general feel, few more questions I thought of:
1. How competitive are NYU students compared to other law schools (of course this could be based on anecdotal evidence since you are not attending any other law schools) What is the workload like, is it more/less rigorous than say Columbia or Chicago. Is there a lot of group studying or is it done mostly on an individual basis? Are your peers friendly/social? Do you see them outside of class very often?
2. How is NYU for Litigation or Corporate law?
3. Im not sure if you'll know this one because you're a 1L but how hard is it to get into classes you want/clinics your second and third year?
