Car rental is expensive as hell when you drive from one city to the other... if I ride the train, how do I get around the city?

I am not planning to visit all 7 schools,

Im going from Boston to DC so I think I'll visit 4 which I don't think is a lot since 2 are in the same city so I'll be making 3 stops (Boston, NYC, DC) in a week which equals 1 every 2 days (What do you think?)

Also Im not sure what to do about the airfare, I could take the best avail deal right now 150 a ticket one way. Or wait for a southwest ding offer between now and march (but then again im worried I might not get a better deal), Should I just buy the tickets now?

Yeah but using the train, how would I be able to travel within each city (also is the train safe? I live in Texas so I don't know too much about it.

Would that be cheaper, easier than if I just rented a car from say washington and returned it in Boston (some companies allow you to do that I think)

I probably will be visiting your school over spring break. I wanted to ask if the schools allow students to sit in on a class (preferrably of their choosing?)

Columbia, NYU, and Gtown had a list of classes in the Fall that were open to visitors but no such listing for spring of 08. Why is this?

Thanks for your help in advance

Personal Statements, Resumes, and Letters of Recommendation / LOR Help
« on: January 20, 2008, 03:54:48 PM »
hey all, I have a few questions about letter of recommedations

1. I am thinking about going to graduate school as well, can I use the same recommenders? can they even be the same LORs? Or is that not recommended because a schools graduate school and law school might share LORs on the same applicant

2. I've had a few professors in some substantial writing courses I was hoping to get some LORs from, I saved the material from those classes at my house but appearantly my parents did some spring cleaning and tossed them away  >:( >:( >:( .. what do I do? should I just forget getting LORs from those profs, because I doubt they'd remember enough about me to write a substantial LOR without me presenting them with previous course work
