Are there any?   ;D

Seriously, if I want to get a good job, $125K+, big firm, in New York or Chicago are my chances essentially the same graduating from Harvard or Yale as they are from Chicago or Michigan? Keep in my mind I do not care about academic jobs because there is no way I want to teach law.

How important is it to write an undergraduate thesis? Will adcomms look at it as a negative if you do not?

Law School Applications / Grades @ U of Michigan

Hello All,

I am currently enrolled as a senior @ UMICH...I have a 3.75 GPA which I hope to raise to a 3.8+ after this year. I am hoping to be competitive @ YHS + CCN in a few years time. My question is, do any of you know how ad comms view grades @ UMICH? What would be considered a strong showing? I get the impression that UMICH is a fairly hard school, but I don't really know.

Law School Applications / 19...undergrad at UMICH...what to do?

This is my first post on this board so please bear with me...

I am a 19 year old undergrad at the U of Michigan. I am going into my senior year, and I am trying to maximize my chances of getting into either Yale or U of Chicago Law (my top 2 choices). Through 3 years I have a 3.75 GPA, majoring in history. My debate is, besides aiming for A's my senior year, what is the best course of action to increase my chances? I was thinking of electing a double major and spending another year on campus. Will law schools look upon this favorably or not in your experiances?
