why is it that among the t14, I would be given $90,000 at one school and literally $0 at another? I'm really perplexed right now.
It's because you've bought into a fallacy. T14 is something that was made up on the internet. In reality, the 14 schools that supposedly comprise this category are radically different from each other. CLS and GULC don't have so much more in common with each other than GULC and Vandy or USC, for example.
Having said that, at 0 from certain schools. You're still considering us, right?
-tm.
does it makea difference that this is among the T6, then?

Did you literally get an award letter saying that you got nothing, or might you just not have received it yet?
well $0 in grants. I have stafford loans as an option - but isn't that not really an award, just an option for anyone looking for loans?

The yale hopes are done. Just got the email. Waitlist offer which is not an option for me nor desired. I'm happy that its done. I'll go ahead and wait a few more days in case Stanford gets on the ball, but looks like I'll be sending in that Berkeley Matching Scholarship form on Tuesday.
Saradsun- sorry to hear that yale's out, but you've got some awesome options going for you anyway. do you mind if i ask from which month/round were you a deferral?

about how many months without a response should make one concerned enough to contact an admissions office? how long did you all wait for?

so I just got the e-mail today....I applied pretty late in the process (around Jan. 15).
out of curiosity - what does your status change to if you get the phone call email? or does it just still say "under review"?

Stanford! Actually got email on Thursday, but was at an ASW and didn't check it until today. Looks like I'm going to have to wait a bit longer yet to make my final decision...and I was so close, too!
WOW, CONGRATS!!
