If you got more money at GW, go to GW. It places well in DC and NY and if you are getting more money there, then it should be a no-brainer as they are closely equal schools, with GW being slightly better in DC.

Even at Michigan, unless you have great grades, big firms aren't going to be all over you dude. There just isn't a need for 1L's in this economy unless you a) are on top of your game or b) Go to HYS. Either way, the summer start program won't really benefit you in terms of jobs. However, from friends that did that program, it IS worth it because you can have lighter loads in semesters while an upperclassman and that makes life happier....... 74

Just as I'm sure there are students that could succeed in medical school that never got in because of grades or their LSAT score. You determine how you do on these exams and in undergrad. Don't expect people to feel sorry for you if it wasn't to your fullest potential.

I don't think it would be unfair to impose a 3.0 157 cut-off to apply, but with most admissions having LSAT scores above 160. Don't act like this is such a terrible idea. Medical school applicants struggle to get in with 3.7's and 85th percentile MCAT scores.

That's sad. You do realize that a government salary for just about any job series will be at $70k in 2-3 years, right? That is with nothing more than a bachelor's degree and a 3.0 gpa.
