Threats?

If you first determine your end(s) you'll then be better able to choose optimal means. What is your purpose/are your purposes in writing? Are you trying to tell the reader who you really are? What makes you unique? Why you want to go to law school? Why you think you'll be a good student? What area of law you wish to investigate further? How your character has been tested? Are you merely trying to show how well you think and write?

Once I decided I would show a history of intellectual curiosity and determination, the actual writing came easy.

You can read whatever you want but ultimately, you have to do what works for you, not what it tells you to do in some book.

I know in Law School Confidential, it says you should "color code" the cases in your case book - highlighting the holding, the reasoning, etc. in different colors. I tried that, and found it to be a ridiculous waste of my time.

Why did you find color-coding a waste of time?

I like Malibu too. Pacific Palisades is nice. Many Loyola JDs at either?

Do you know where you want to practice? If, for example, you want to practice in, say, NY or SF, I doubt it matters which school you pick. If you want to practice in SD, go with USD. If you want to practice in LA then ... wait ... why would you want to practice or live in LA?

has anyone considered buying a place while they are in LS and letting the student loans/grants cover the first few yrs?

Got a house in Carlsbad in the north of San Diego County. Quitting work in three weeks to go to school full time at USD. My savings and money from financial aid will pay the mortgage for a while.

Carlsbad is a nice place to live if you've got a family. So is Morgan Hill/South Santa Clara County.

Enjoying Boalt, neighbor?

nah, Boalt wouldn't let me enjoy Boalt. Went to Cal ug.

Boalt wouldn't let me serve drinks at their mixers, much less study law there. Where will you go?
