1L job search / What is the best thing to do this summer?

I am a p/t lL hoping to transfer to f/t in the fall.
I'm torn. Is working the best way to spend the summer? I will take a couple of courses. Should I try to go abroad to study? (a possibility) Should I look for an internship?

Any insights or experiences will be appreciated.

I know it's late, but I have been unable to decide about joining a study group.

How common/necessary are these groups at most law schools? I am studying day and night, but am I really losing out by not working within a group.

Deciding between Rutgers and Seton Hall.

Sounds like Hoboken is a better choice to live in. How expensive is it? I would share in a 2 or 3 bedroom place--to cut costs.
How did you find your place?

Also, Jersey City was suggested by a NYC friend. Do you have any thoughts on it?

I know law students are pressed for time, but would appreciate any responses and details.

General Board / Understanding the Curve

I'm going to be a 1L in the fall, and am uncertain about the curve.
I need to maintain a 3.0 to keep my aid. I think of this as a B in college, but know this is not the case.

How difficult is a 3.0, and if the law school adjusts the curve (which I understand frequently happens), do I want it to get higher or lower?

Is there an F for every A?
That's downright scarey.

It is one of my top choices.

Where should I go next fall? / What's happening with waitlists?

I've noticed Harvard, UPenn, UVA, and a couple of Calif schools have been going to them.

Any updates or news out there for other T100 schools that have indicated they would or wouldn't go to them?

I'm still waiting and hoping on a couple. ;)

With all the discussions about low app numbers this cycle, and law schools going to the WL, when can we expect this to happen. Most seat deposits were due around April 15.

Any WLs moving yet? ???
