Quick post cuz I gotta run to work:
I lost 80 pounds by counting calories, lifting weights and walking/running (started w/ walking, ran when I could do so without killing myself). I started at 1500 calories per day but was losing 3 pounds a week and that didn't seem healthy, so I bumped it up to 1800. I started walking 3 miles a day and eventually was up to running about 15+ miles per week. I was down to 168 at 5'10", 9% body fat and killer abs. That takes a ton of time to keep up when you're over 30 - your body fights you all the way. Some of it's come back on - not too much though.
so true! i never worried about my weight & even considered myself in shape up until a 1 1/2 yr ago. i notice that it's ALOT to put on a couple of pounds & it's harder to get rid. right now, i'm @ the weight i'm supposed to be for me height. which actually looks pretty good (i have boobs now) but, i notice that i'm starting to jiggle more. i don't like that.
the problem w/me is that i hate gyms & i'm a warm weather person. so during the warmer mos, i have no problem walking a few miles or riding a bike. as soon as it gets cold, i don't want to go out & do anything.
