« on: December 09, 2006, 10:03:38 AM »
A party you say? well, only Stradgirl is deserving of one. Here's to her reaching her 5000th post on a Saturday afternoon. So I throw a big party for her. Now she's told me all she wants for this occassion is hugz and kissez and for you to vote for her as the hottest female LSDer, so

and vote away.

 :-* :-* :-*

She is a baby postwhore no more. She is now a sexually interested adult postwhore.

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / JD/MS schools
« on: November 14, 2006, 09:31:49 PM »
Not sure if this has been posted before. Anyone have a comprehensive list of schools offering the JD/MS in engineering. One of my professors just offered me a project to do a Masters in Engineering with my current faculty. Made me want to a masters as well as a JD.
Also is it possible to do a MS at a school with a JD even if they don't specifically have a JD/MS?

edit: I know only of Duke and Syracuse that has the JD/MS. Also I'd really be interested if the school has a strong law school as well as a strong engineering school.

What should the poster above have studied instead of what they actually did study? The more obscure the better.

Canadian Law Students / Only at McGill
« on: November 06, 2006, 07:32:18 PM »
Only at McGill can my CV, my PS and my LORs be entered into their system at separate despite me handing them in in person in one big envelope. Their admin really pisses me off.

I find that lower-ranked schools, outside T1, tend to ask you for a list of schools that you are applying to. Is that so they can gauge how to splash money at you to entice you to not go to a higher-ranked school that could possibly accept you? Or to ding you if you are overqualified and will clearly choose a higher-ranked school than them?

Canadian Law Students / FAFSA eligiblity
« on: October 30, 2006, 07:44:46 PM »
As a canadian resident and citizen, am I eligible for these FAFSA loans?

Section XII of Michigan Law's application:
"US. citizens and permanent residents aliens only, if you wish to so identify yourself, please mark the one race or ethnicity that you think best applies to you. Your decision to answer or not answer this question will not influence the Law School's decision on admission"

But on another application: There's a choice to choose Canadian Aboriginal...

So if I apply as an international do they not care what ethinicity  I am?

General Off-Topic Board / The greatest stats for a midterm ever.
« on: October 18, 2006, 09:09:37 PM »
I just got a midterm back today. it was out of 60. Here are the stats

- average = 25.1
- standard deviation = 10.7
- maximum = 54/60
- minimum = 12/60

I dont think i've ever seen an average so low in a midterm.

Can anyone beat this?

This was quite bobo of me.
I just got the LOR from my recommender. The destination address was there nice and clear, but I forgot to put a return address. If it was clearly written it should still be delivered right? I just have to hope and wait? LSAC will still open it right?  ??? ???

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Why does Thomas Cooley get no love?
« on: October 09, 2006, 05:25:39 PM »
I'd never want to go there, but why does everyone like to rag on it when there are plenty of other Tier 4 no-namers to go after?
