Ever since the Expos moved to Washington moved I've been in favorite team limbo. I don't have one and I'm becoming less interested in baseball because of it. Since then I've been to lots of Mets games and to one Mariners game in Seattle.
I can cheer for the Blue Jays, but they are in the AL and I'm not supposed to like Toronto.
I can cheer for the Mets but noone wants to do that.
I can go to school in Boston but I have repeatedly told myself not to be an obnoxious Red Sox fan.
I can't cheer for the Marlins, their owner moved the Expos away.
I can go to school in Atlanta, but the Braves monopolized the NL East such that the expos never made the play-offs.

What to do?

Expos, go back home
Take the next plane and leave us alone
Go scratch your balls under another sky
Don't even take the time to say goodbye
We need cash for our hospitals
We ain't got nothing for the baseball
You see, usually I sing in French
But this time I want you to understand

Expos, leave our town
Hope you won't have your ballpark downtown
Take the bus and go back home
Leave the Stadium for the Rolling Stones
We need cash for our hospitals
We ain't got nothing for the baseball

Wait List / BU Waitlist
« on: April 02, 2007, 10:36:19 AM »
I recently received a letter from BU asking me if I wanted to be waitlisted. It was sent to my home address in Canada but I"m currently studying in China. My parents have yet to email me or send me the letter, and I'm freaking out. Does anyone what the deadline for this BU waitlist was? How long was the response time? And if I'm late, what do I do?

General Off-Topic Board / Why are Korean girls so hot but cliquey?
« on: March 05, 2007, 05:27:46 AM »
So, I'm sitting here in the far east studying at some university for the hell of it. I'm living in the dorm for foreign students and there's plenty of Koreans around. Now I must say that there's a lot of hot girls here, but the Koreans seem like the hottest. But for some reason they are always bunched together, and ubercliquey. And some of them seemed to have dragged boyfriends from overseas with them (I'm not in Korea). Why do they have to be like this?

So many monkey 'tars. Is it a big joke? I mean, there should only be one of you. The one we all like and who likes to shamelessly promote a certain T14 on the east coast.

Reviews, Visits, and Rankings / ASW? imperative to attend?
« on: January 17, 2007, 03:54:54 PM »
Is it imperative to attend ASW? I'm gonna be halfway around the world but in a very large city. So while I'll be very connected to the world and my admission process, I won't be able to attend the ASW. Does anyone think that I could possibly make a bad decision on which school because I failed to attend ASW?

I read somewhere that as a Canadian, I should still fill out a FAFSA. Has anyone start doing this?

General Off-Topic Board / All nighters, Yay or Nay?

ALL NIGHTING = Staying up to study in this case.

it is of no surprise to me that past, current, and future law students stay up late and are generally studious. But I'm curious as to how many of you have pull all-nighters to finish a paper, assignment, or lab. Personally, i've never done it despite being an engineering student and do not relish the prospect of having to do it.
