I would have chosen Cardozo over Brooklyn, too. Better student body. Better faculty. Less overcrowding. Easy.

Plus there are the total a$$es who work in Brooklyn admissions. Bad vibe all around there.

The jerks that work in the BLS admissions dept. are by far the rudest and least professional group of morons i've had to deal with in my entire application process.  Everytime I called them I was rudely greeted by someone that was irritated at the fact that I dare call them to check if my deposit had arrived.  I called on three separate occasions and I dealt with 2 or 3 different staff members and each were incredibly rude and unprofessional.  When I called them for the third and final time to withdraw my acceptance, the woman on the phone sighed very loudly and started giving me an attitude.  In fact, she hung up on me immediately after telling me the process for withdrawing.  If you think i'm exaggerating, feel free to call them up and check it out for yourself: (718) 780-7906

However I will admit that BLS seems very concerned with the welfare of their students.  Of all the schools I was accepted to, BLS seemed to be the most active in getting me prepared for LS.  A BLS student actually called my house to let me know that she was available in case I had any questions or concerns.  BLS was also offering all kinds of summer internships (Sparer public interest internship being one of them I think) and a free summer prep course for incoming students.  I wish they didn't stuff my mailbox with so many magazines but other than that, it seems like a great school.

When I was debating between SJU and BLS a few months ago, a friend of mine tried to convince me to choose the former by telling me that the employment statistics for both schools were virtually identical.  To be honest I haven't really validated his claim by checking out the stats but if true, SJU FT might seem like a better choice than BLS. 

Also, I was warned by my pre-law advisor that although it may be rather easy to xfer into the full time program, going into a PT program is not always a wise decision. 

Whichever you choose, congrats!  Both are excellent schools

I recently read an article on AA arguing that it ultimately hurts minorities.  It argued that one's GPA and LSAT was a decent predictor of one's success in law school and AA allowed minority students with inferior GPA/LSAT scores to enter certain schools, they would inevitably finish on the bottom.  I'm sure that there are plenty of students with low GPA/LSAT numbers that rank at the top of their class but is it true that it is a pretty good predictor of where you will rank in LS?  Also, is it true that minority students that are accepted due to AA ultimately finish at the bottom of the class?

It would be nice if a current LS student could validate or deny this claim.  I'm a bit concerned because i've been admitted to a few law schools that i'm not really qualified for.  My GPA is rather high but my LSAT score falls a bit below the 25%ile.
