i should add that i loved fight club, so i'm actually a huge hypocrite.  :-\

You're allowed.*

I do so like when Brad Pitt does funky/funny roles. Like in Snatch. So much better than when he does Ocean's 11 or Meet Joe Black or whatnot.

Although I did like Legends of the Fall back in the day. I claim the "being a 14-year-old" defense.

*ETA: And I don't think that's necessarily hypocritical at all, but that's probably a longer conversation.

i'm concerned about that movie's glorification of violence.

More than fair (and very true). I should have added a sheepish emoticon (if there is such a thing).

My computer is broken, btw.  I won't be around much, I don't think.

 >:(

And, 'clasttt, I forgot to say, I like your style!

I just like places. I think they mostly have good things if you look for them, I guess.

.....

I am kind of excited about Inglourious Basterds.

Leasing a car is a strange thing.  Very expensive.

'tis! Is this a hint that the job is in a driving place?

Myabe a national ranking of which school place best nationally, then a regional ranking, tops in the region. That way you take the national schools out so they don't dominate by the presence of so many grads in one or two cities. Still own't work well for east coast becuase of the number of large markets and schools there, but would give you a more realistic idea of what your chances are of moving from say Seattle to Boston to go to BC in hopes of coming back to Seattle. 1-xxx national rankings just tend to make people think a 30s school is better than a 90s school even if the 90s school is in the city where they want to work. I think a lot of people get stuck that way in places they did not really want to live.

or just get rid of "national placement" altogether.  if people want to know what that looks like, they can just see the rankings for NYC.

Obviously there are no perfect indicators.

Well, yes. But also sticking up for my school/region!  :P

::tumbleweeds::

Hallo.

It's hard to believe that school starts again so soon. I have to be back for clinic training on Friday and Saturday, and then, here we go again.

I hope 3L isn't as stressful as 2L was.

i need to stop putting my foot in my mouth at some point.  also, food.

Or I could stop taking everything so seriously (which I'm not, really, just giving you a hard time).

I support food! I had delicious Armenian food last night, and I'm totally having the leftovers for dinner.

BIG EXCITEMENT.

also, it's large and soulless.  i can't imagine living there.

I don't really understand calling such an interesting, diverse place "soulless," but to each their own. It may be a lot of things, but there is unquestionably a tremendous amount of energy down here. I don't think I would choose to settle down here, but I would definitely not mind coming back for a shorter stretch again at some point.
