I agree with Yiplong that not using your JD after you've spent so much effort and money to get it is a horrible scenario.  I recently found out that a woman I work with graduated from UPenn law 6 years ago.  I work for a Fortune 10 insurance company in the accounting dept. and a trained monkey in business casual could do our job...

Wow.  I did a quick check, and UPenn is ranked #7 by US News!

So I'll go out on a limb and guess that there's something else going on in this woman's life that would cause her to settle for a job like that.  (??)

L&C data...

I should say that the data is from the US News and World Report web site.

Anyone else find it interesting that Willamette has the highest bar passage rate of the Oregon schools?  I did.  I was also suprised to see L&C so far behind.

Yep, same here.  I'm seriously thinking about L&C.  But there are some real ironies in their data:

Median Starting Salary, Private Sector: $48K
Bar Passage Rate: 68.3%

...now that I think about it though, maybe the salary statistic is affected by the other one...

Hi,

I just opened this book up, and jumped into Reading Comprehension passage #5, on p. 276.  The first two questions and answers seem incredibly poor and nonsensical.  The other four make sense ... and a friend and I didn't find them very difficult.

Anyone else have this book and can comment?  I'd love to hear some feedback - are we stoopid, or is it the book?

Thanks!
