I took my first two diagnostics and did very well on the reading comprehension. 21/25 and 23/26. Then I took my third diagnostic yesterday and scored a 9/25. I don't understand how it got so hard for me on this test. The section seemed much more difficult than the previous ones I did and while I was finishing 5 min fast before, I struggled to finish this section on time. The other three sections I did well on however and scored an 18 (lr), 19 (games), 19 (lr) respectively. Anyone have similar experiences and should this be something I should be freaking out about? I started studying about 2.5 weeks ago and am taking a testmasters class in july.

Law School Admissions / How much does your UG school matter?
« on: May 17, 2006, 12:21:00 PM »
I guess this is a multiple question post... but here goes. I graduated from UCLA undergrad with a 3.34 gpa and UCLA is my first choice for law school. How much does the fact that I went there for undergraduate school help me or hurt me in their decision? Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? Also, I got a 156 on my first LSAT diagnostic and then after a few weeks of studying, a 165 on my second LSAT diagnostic (years were 1993 and 1995 if that matters). With the gpa and information already stated, what kind of LSAT numbers would I need for UCLA and is it possible to hit at the level I'm at (my lsat is scheduled for sept 30th)?

Law School Admissions / am I a URM?
« on: May 11, 2006, 05:07:39 PM »
I had a question about being an unrepresented minority. I was actually unaware about this untill just a few weeks ago. My grandfather was born and raised in Mexico City, which makes me 25% latin. Now would this qualify me as an URM? If it does, do I go any further than just putting it on my LSAC bio. I put white because I thought it meant what are you mostly, can I change it? If someone knows the answer to this please let me know.

Thx

Studying for the LSAT / First diagnostic
« on: May 01, 2006, 07:38:21 AM »
My girlfriend and I just decided to go to law school a few weeks ago and have already signed up for the sept 30 LSAT in order to apply for the 2007 year. We bought a 10 real LSAT test book from LSAC and took one of the full tests under the time conditions it specified. I got a 156 and she got a 152. We had never studied for it before or learned any of the games. With knowing that, how possible would it be for us both to hit 170 on the LSAT after we take a testmasters course (we already enrolled in the late summer one at UCLA) and study everyday?
