Law School Admissions / Applying before you get your LSAT results?
« on: July 08, 2006, 04:07:54 PM »
I am scheduled for the september 30th LSAT. I really want to apply as early as possible though. Would I be able to send in my applications before I get my results? Or will law schools only except applications when you have your score? If someone could give me details on how that works I would greatly appreciate it.

If I am from Mexican decent and was born in the US can I put either mexican-american or hispanic (Since Mexicans are hispanic)? or is hispanic just anything thats not mexican? Is there any difference in benefit for being hispanic over mexican-american or the other way around?

Law School Admissions / Will it help if....
« on: June 30, 2006, 10:08:43 AM »
I actually saved up enough money selling real estate and investing over the past couple years to pay for law school myself without taking out a loan or getting aid. If i apply for law school without requesting aid will it help me at all? or does it not matter whatsoever?

Studying for the LSAT / Testmasters Diagnostics
« on: June 29, 2006, 07:46:16 AM »
I just was curious. I've been taking massive old LSATS but I am enrolled in Testmasters for the end of July. WHat is the diagnostic they use? An old test, something they made up, or a jumble of random questions? Are there any years I should stay away from?

I am about to write my PS and wanted to know what you guys thought about my topic. I am an insulin dependent type I diabetic. My GPA is a 3.35 and I have been diabetic since I was 8. Throughout undergrad I had a lot of problems with my health which resulted in me being hospitalized three times and put an extreme preasure on my academic life (I failed a class one quarter because I was in the hospital close to finals, hence my 3.35). Around last year I was able, working with my doctors, to get my health to stabilize. It was very difficult for me and my diversity would really be my experiences and struggles with severe health problems.

Studying for the LSAT / How much progress is good progress?
« on: June 16, 2006, 04:59:01 PM »
I have been studying for about 5 weeks for the LSAT. I have taken exactly 9 practice tests and feel like improvement is very annoying to say the least. If I break my tests in to sets of 3 I can see a small amount of progress. Take a look and let me know what your analysis of the progress is.

156,165,156 (Tests 1,2,3)
160,154,160 (Tests 4,5,6)
160,165,161 (Tests 7,8,9)

Also with these scores, will it be possible to see a lot of improvement when I take testmasters in July? I've heard that unless your scoring under 160, classes don't help too much. Anyways let me know what you think.

Studying for the LSAT / How much can I improve?
« on: May 30, 2006, 10:47:34 AM »
I have been studying about 3 weeks now and my diagnostics are 156,165,156,160,154 (in that order)... I am taking testmasters in July and have been working with the LR and LG bibles. Is it possible to get mid to high 160's on the real lsat if im taking it sept 30? What looks realistic for me?

My girlfriend got 152,152,153,154,155 (in that order)... same question for her.
