(I know people will say check calculator or law school numbers, but for a URM it doesn't help much)

Law School Admissions / Scholarship and Financial Aid
« on: October 07, 2006, 08:46:48 PM »
I know that you have to file a seperate application for financial aid after january 1st because of fafsa. My question is: Do schools offer you merit based scholarships before they see your financial aid info (because a lot of schools notify you prior to january 1st) or do they hold off until they know how much aid you will need? I'm a bit confused about this and I appreciate any help.

Law School Admissions / URM question
« on: October 06, 2006, 01:30:18 PM »
I am mexican-american and I am applying for law school this year. I was thinking about writing a diversity statement. I speak spanish and have been raised around mexican culture. However, I am having a hard time writing my statement. I feel like I could contribute culturaly but I don't know what to say besides, I speak spanish and have a mexican perspective and family life. How important is a diversity statement? Is just checking the box enough, or in order to get the full benefit must I actually write the essay. I am just having a hard time =( Thx for all your help in advance.

Studying for the LSAT / supermarket

What did you guys get for the question regarding the paradox with the shoppers? I think the answer was that the person using the discount bought things that are unneccessary. Anyone else have feedback as to their answer and why they picked it.

Is this an easier test? I know the scale is lax (86 for a 170), but both my girlfriend and I hit our all time high (167 and 172 respectively) on it. I want to feel like I improved but I just feel like maybe this test was just one of the easy ones.
