I'm in tampa at the moment. We've rapped on this very subject and the only reason we could agree on is that they're all working state government internships in tallahassee.

Worst: study groups are a waste of time <---It is so important to talk to your classmates about the material. I can almost guarantee you'll miss something otherwise, or at least suffer when trying to come up with counter-arguments on exams.

IP litigation requires no scientific experience. Also, remember IP is a lot of stuff, not just patents. Generally patent law requires specialized knowledge. The best advice is to go in to 1L with you head down and kick ass. Figure out the rest later.
Residency is like a formula. Get your license now, register to vote now, buy a condo (if you have the cash to do so considering the incredible issues with loans nowadays), discover family you have in state.

W&L. I live in Florida, just finished 1L here, and have gotten the impression that FSU does not carry much weight here. I intern at a federal court. There's 40 interns in my building, all of us are from Florida and Miami with the excpetion of two who are here on externship from Stetson.
