Law School Discussion

I wasn't implying that I will have to venture into other parts of Camden...I was worrying about the ghetto areas being so close to campus that it won't be that hard for the thugs to wander a few blocks - I hear that Camden has just had its 30th murder victim of the year, and Philly had 6 murders in the past weekend.  I grew up in the area and it is getting as bad as ever. 

One worry I also have about Rutgers is that it seems to be a commuter school, making it harder to meet people outside of class.  Don't know if this is necessarily true, though.

Im also from the area and I feel that Camden is the worst place to live in the tri state area.  I couldnt spend 3 years of my life driving into Camden everyday. I did decide to attend Newark, mainly because it just felt like a better situation. The only thing is that I hear that Pitt is horrible place to live and is very weird culturally.  Seems like your stuck between a rock and a hard place. Be safe and live in weirdo Pittsburgh or go to Camden everyday...its on you

I'm about to buy a macbook but I hear there is gonna be a new one released soon. IS there any truth to that.

Villanova is in a less competitive market. Brooklyn has to compete with NYU, Columbia,Fordham, Cardozo, and every other top 14 school grad who wants to practice in NYC.
With Villanova you have a good shot at Philly.

Lets say your going to a Tier 2, for instance somewhere like a Rutgers. Is it still possible to have a life and still be one of the better students. Im I going to have to study 12 hours a day. I can see myself treating it like a 9 to 5 and going to work every day but I hear people acting like they pull late nights every night.

So I guess my question really is how is your life in law school? also how are your grades?

How did each of you respond to the wait list email? I may be overreacting, but the part about providing "any additional information you would like to be considered" threw me off a bit. Did anyone add more information besides their name and LSAC number? I did not plan on using the LOCI in response to that email.

I just sent a small message reaffirming my desire to go there and setting up a visit. After the visit I am going to write up something and then go back up there and drop it off at the admissions office. Hopefully being relatively close to the school will help.
